Implant Replacement of Multiple Missing Teeth

Dental implants are today’s standard of care for replacing multiple teeth because:

  • Implants play a crucial role in preventing bone loss and preserving facial structure. Former conventional treatments, such as dentures and crown supported bridges, not only failed to address these concerns, but led to complications.
  • Your implant treatment will be long lasting. In fact, with excellent oral hygiene, your implant treatment can be expected to last a lifetime.
  • Implant treatment provides for stronger eating function than a bridge and makes daily oral hygiene easy to do.
  • Implant treatment results in lifelike appearance for the most confident smile.

At Knoxville Smiles, we are proud to provide comprehensive implant services and strive to make implant treatment affordable. We can restore your smile with individual implant supported crowns, an implant supported bridge or a combination of both.

Numerous factors go into planning treatment that is individualized for your oral health circumstances. Our dentists have expertise and years of experience in diagnosis and treatment planning restoration of mouths missing multiple teeth.

We provide 3D CBTCT imaging in our own office. This 3D imaging is important for evaluating your bone tissue and for precise treatment planning. Most dental practices do not have this imaging in-house and either refer patients to 3d imaging facilities or depend on two-dimensional x-rays, with the result of higher out-of-pocket cost for oral health care or diagnostics and based on less precise imaging.

Your treatment options and a recommended plan of treatment will be discussed with you. You will be fully informed so you can make the decision that is right for you. If you would like to proceed with treatment, all surgical procedures you may need, such as bone grafting and implant placement, will be done using moderate oral sedation and local anesthetic. Because surgical procedures require a small incision to be made in the gum tissue, we offer Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) to minimize swelling and maximize healing of the gum tissue. We use the highest quality implants and implant components from Zimmer Biomet, and we are proud to offer Trabecular Metal implants, for faster bone integration and treatment completion. Great care will be taken with the design of your implant supported prosthesis for optimal function and natural appearance in your smile.

Because a small incision will be made in the gum tissue where each implant is placed, we recommend application of injectable EXPAREL®, a safe and effective local anesthetic that blocks nerve impulses at the site of the injection for three days. This way, you will not feel much discomfort during the postsurgical period of most gum swelling.

We offer complimentary (no fee) initial and second opinion implant consultation appointments. We will explain financing options available through CareCredit and LendingClub Patient Solutions. You may take time to make your decision, and you will not be under pressure to schedule treatment.
